Here's Johnny

"Here's Johnny" is an 18x24 inch acrylic on canvas that draws the viewer into its dimensional quality through the thick impasto paint used for the door frame. This technique gives the piece a textured and almost lifelike presence.

I first saw *The Shining* when I was about 10 or 11, and Jack Nicholson's performance became the very embodiment of madness for me. His portrayal captured the unsettling reality that sometimes evil walks among us without rhyme or reason—at least none that a sane person could comprehend. Nicholson’s incredible performance was more than just acting; it was a chilling exploration of the human psyche's darkest corners, a depiction so powerful it left an indelible mark on my imagination.

This painting is a tribute to that unforgettable moment and the profound impact it had on my perception of fear and the inexplicable nature of evil.
